Paula is Wondering if She Can Get Her Ex Back Quicker…

Here is a letter that I got from one of my readers that I thought I’d share with you.

Of course all private details are removed and the name is not real…

“Hi. I have purchased & read the guide (The Magic of Making Up). I cut my ex (we were together for over ten yrs) off and now she is trying to communicate with me a little now and she is saying she loves me and wants to be back with me but she has a new girlfriend living with her. My ex claims that she is going to get rid of her but she hasn’t yet. I told her not to contact me until she has taken care of that situation. Is there something else that I could also be doing to help entice/persuade my ex to get rid of the new girl sooner? HELP!!!!! I feel so close but yet so far from getting her back. Thanks.”

Now here is my response to Paula’s email to me:

Hi Paula,

That is a great question. And everything that I have read tells me that you should give your ex partner some space. Never, ever force the issue because it will always backfire and you won’t like the results.

So back off. Be pleasant and friendly to her. Keep your communication short. Let her figure out that she would rather be with you than the other girl. I know that you are hurting but trying to speed up the process of getting your ex back when she is with someone else is generally not a good idea.

Have you tried the Fast Forward Technique that is explained inside “The Magic of Making Up“? I use this technique a lot for any time I feel anxious, angry or upset. And it worked very well for me. I’d like you to give it a try…
